Good afternoon,

It’s been a very hot, quiet week in Riyadh after the World Cup. My friends and I booked a semi-last-minute trip to Cannes, where we got a non-refundable AirBnB (on my Amex!) and non-refundable flight tickets. We’re flying via the Gulf, and I’ve been dreading the potential event of fighting with a French woman over the phone about getting a refund for the AirBnB. If I don’t post a part two of this letter, it means I never made it to Cannes. And I have a lot of things to say about Cannes.
