The ‘looksmaxing’ epidemic

Being hot used to be an art, now it’s a science.

I’ve always wondered what would happen had the curtain hiding all our deepest, darkest sexual desires was lifted. I’ve also pictured it to show the most bizarre and shocking sexual desires we would never have assumed about the people around us. To me, the often frowned upon beauty standards are not to blame for their unattainability, but for their extreme reinforcement of repressing everyone’s desires. It is a fact, not an opinion, that most people actually do not find beauty standards appealing to them. Much like a Bruno Mars song or a logo-pressed piece of clothing, it is just being shoved down our throats and not as many people actually like this.

A good example of how deep we’ve fallen into adopting a standard for a quite literally subjective thing is the newly-developed looksmaxing community.
