Hi everyone! Gonna have to keep this one short:

Truth prevails, even after 15 years

When I was 18 I infamously dialed into a very famous, now-debunked talk show that discusses various topics pertaining primarily to the Saudi public. In short, the program had advocated for increasing the stipends of students on government scholarships abroad, and my (very honest) view was that it would be wasteful and futile to increase the stipends when students had no financial literacy, adding that it’s probably wiser to educate students on managing their money before injecting more. It didn’t help that my uncle at the time was the Saudi Minister of Higher Education, which the host accusatorily mentioned on live television. The snippet was circulated online heavily, gaining millions of views, and you can probably guess what the public’s response was. But you don’t see that snippet being circulated anymore. Why? Because I was 100% right.
